DropBox is teeone.net’s latest addition to our collection of proprietary software. DropBox is a custom-designed application created by teeone.net, exclusively for use by our clients. DropBox was developed in response to teeone clients who were looking for a better, faster and simpler way to manage photo files.
How Does DropBox Work?
Start by downloading and installing the program from www.teeone.net. The user-friendly navigation window allows you select up to 10 photos at a time to be resized to one of three popular sizes. Simply click the appropriate size button, click RESIZE and you’re done!
Where Do They Go?
Next, click the upload button and the newly re-sized photos are uploaded to your teeone.net server and filed in a folder that is auto-created and named with today’s date, and the time of the upload. These folders are always found in the same place, the UPLOAD folder on the X-drive on your teeone.net server. The original file names are kept for easy identification and distribution to job folders located elsewhere on the server.
DropBox was designed to work with 14 of the most common and popular file formats for photographs. We’re confident it will successfully work with your photo files. The real joy of DropBox is its speed. DropBox uploaded 30 photos in less than a minute from a local machine directly to the teeone.net server.
Why Resize?
Sometimes (more like OFTEN) the settings on many digital cameras result in photos being captured at a file size far larger than necessary. Up until now, this unnecessary file size was usually to blame for extended upload times. Re-sizing allows for users to control file size while keeping the content of the photos intact. It has been reported that some agencies will “kick-back” claims if the photos are sized too large. Delays in processing due to oversized photos can now be eliminated by using DropBox!
