Subject: lost estimate
Guys -
We have an employee that worked on an estimate on X25.1 on Teeone. She can’t find it. This could be a situation where "save and exit” wasn’t executed.
How frequently is the server backed up and how difficult is it to go back in time if we REALLY need to go back to retrieve an estimate? What are the limitations/restrictions with this request?
For the specific issue at hand, please call Candace Lee @ 301-948-8008. She will be the one sobbing on the line. Then please let me know for future situations such as this.

We run backup of the server each night.
We use a daily schedule and a weekly schedule for the tapes.
Monday through Thursday tapes are available a week, then reused.
Friday1 through Friday4 and End-of-Month tapes are available for a month, then reused.
Nothing older than a month is available.
We found the missing estimate on Monday night's backup, so we had until Monday to retrieve it fro that backup.
After that, it would be dependent on the Friday2 tape, then Friday1 and so on.
Hope this helps.
